A world of pure imagination

Social distancing is proving challenging, and it is only natural to wonder how much time we’ll still need to spend apart. Luckily, we all have an instrument as old as time itself: our imaginations! In collaboration with our April releases, our imaginations take us on a mesmerizing journey over thousands of miles… from the inside looking out.

Search for treasures in the Caribbean seas with a pirate crew in Raven, or join a group of teenagers from New York who possess the gift of absolute knowledge in Les Omniscients. What if you could go back in time and relive the history of the Titanic (Le Fil de l’histoire...), or meet the iconic Marilyn Monroe?

Imagination helps cope with difficulties, indeed. Incroyable features Jean-Loup, a boy affected by OCD who gradually builds his self-confidence thanks to a fantastical world of his own invention. And in Les Ombres, an imaginary universe tells the harrowing tale of refugees today.

Without any particular knowledge on the subject, the author managed to transform a no-man’s land into an oasis of biodiversity thanks to a lot of research, love, and hard work. He thus proves that nature can be resilient,as long as you are willing to help it out. A fascinating book by a self-taught expert.

Martin Milan Compilation

Martin Milan Compilation (3)

By Godard

Children's & Family
Publisher: Le Lombard
Genres: Action & Adventure

The hero of this series, which appeared in the pages of “Tintin” magazine, is a red-headed, pipe-smoking aviator who rents out his services as a pilot-for-hire and high-flying advertiser. Impassive, deadpan, and humble, Martin takes part in countless adventures, told with a tone that varies from comic to dramatic. He never hesitates to help those around him, often at the risk of his own life, without ever asking for anything in return. His airplane, the Old Pelican, is falling to bits and constantly losing pieces in flight — which isn’t surprising when we learn that Martin bought the wreck for a trifle from its previous owner, and fixed it up himself. Fingers crossed that it holds up for his next flight!
