It's the most wonderful time of the year

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Oh, right! Christmas is around the corner, and that’s a plus, but we are talking about all the awesome comics that are coming out in November and December!

Everyone’s favorite cat detective is back, and yes, we mean John Blacksad. This time, he’s on a particularly thorny case, which completes the Alors, tout tombe diptych.

As strong as the winter winds, a new episode of Thorgal arrives, featuring a well-known gifted archer and fierce defender of freedom and justice

The poor lonesome cowboy, Lucky Luke, also embarks on a new adventure in Les Indomptés, a beautiful, tender and incredibly funny tribute album by Blutch.

Speaking of funny things, the famous Wolf in underpants has a new story to tell us, so be sure not to miss the newest Le loup en slip book!

And of course, his royal highness, the king of clumsiness, Gaston comes in style, with a brand new album that promises nothing but laughter.

Since the holidays are approaching, we have also prepared a lot of integrals and collector’s editions, which will fit perfectly under the tree.

You see, there is something for everyone!

Le Loup en slip

Le mystère du P silencieux (8)

By Wilfrid Lupano & Mayana Itoïz

Children's & Family
Publisher: Dargaud Benelux
Genres: Humor, Action & Adventure

In the forest, as we all know, there are little lizards, not very big ones, who lisp when everything sucks… And while we’re on the subject of little birds, there’s one in particular who’s grumbling his head off this morning. Grumo is fed up with the French language’s spelling exceptions. “And gnagnagna, this letter you have to write but you don’t pronounce it… and gnagnagna this one you have to write like this but pronounce it like that.” The little chickadee, who loves to grumble, nevertheless raises some pertinent questions about the words around us…

You can’t be serious about an album on spelling! Yes, we are! And what better companions than the Wolf in underpants and Paulette the Bear to understand the meanders of grammar and the evolution of words, just as the river meanders?

Gaston

Le retour de Lagaffe (22)

By Delaf

Children's & Family
Publisher: Dupuis
Genres: Humor

Gaston is one of the most sympathetic characters in all of Franco-Belgian comics. Born 66 years ago under the pencil of André Franquin, Gaston starts out as a lazy anti-hero, but soon develops into a character of boundless imagination and energy (as long as he doesn’t have to work). The series features a delightful cast of characters: Moizelle Jeanne, Gaston’s love interest (who doesn’t pick up on any of the signals she sends); M. De Mesmaecker, the irascible businessman who can never sign contracts; Prunelle, Gaston’s stressed-out boss and favorite victim of his inventions, and so on. “Gaston” is without doubt the funniest series in the history of Franco-Belgian comics, with expressive, ultra-dynamic graphics.

In order to respect Franquin’s spirit and work as closely as possible, Delaf has carried out an extremely meticulous analysis. The result is incredible and magnificent!
