1899. Clement, a laborer, leads a simple life with his partner Adele and their three children: Basile, Victor and Calixte. But all is not what it seems, as behind the façade of your everyday working man, Clement is hiding something… When he meets with the countess Aristophania Bolt, they are attacked by a giant and Clement loses his life. Aristophania encourages the family to leave Marseille to get away from the lurking dangers within the city. She gives Basile, the eldest son, some dice, which can be used to summon her in case of trouble.
Nine years later. A victim of injustice, Adele is arrested and thrown in prison. The children find themselves on their own. Desperate, Basile uses the dice that Aristophania gave him all those years ago. And just like that, the old countess appears and offers them her protection ! But the old countess keeps her motivations to herself, and the mystery surrounding her connection to their father has yet to cleared.
After the great success of Master of arms, the duo of Xavier Dorison and Joel Parnotte tell a story full of magic and mystery in the beautiful backdrop of the south of France. The beginnings of a ‘French Fantasy’ series!
