On a hill topped by beautiful villas, and surrounded by a highway that cuts it off from the rest of the world, lives Kumiko, the daughter of a very rich family. Down below, under the highway overpass, lies “the little world” – a squalid shantytown where Piedra, an orphan and the chief of a group of street children, manages to survive day by day. Nothing is more unlikely than that these two teenagers will ever meet. Nonetheless… An explosively powerful franco-japanese collaboration.
