Up until now, Vince’s job has been to ensure the safety of the art dealers who work for the Vatican. But now the young man is offered a curious ‘promotion’: If he succeeds on his next mission, Vince will join the ‘Keepers’ — a very special, and very secret, branch of the Vatican’s secret service. Their job is to bring the Pontifical State’s strayed black sheep back into the fold… and, if all else fails, to put them conveniently out of the way, for ever and ever amen.

So Vince finds himself sent to Davos, the site of the annual Forum that brings together the most important political and economic players from around the globe to discuss the big questions concerning the future of our planet. Vince is assigned to keep a discreet eye on the actions and activities of two cardinals in charge of the Vatican’s finances. But Vince isn’t the only person who’s interested in them… And what he doesn’t know is that someone is also very interested in him.
