235 * 312
Hired as a ship’s boy on a whaler, Esteban, a young Indian boy from the Tierra del Fuego, discovers the trials and tribulations of life at sea, but also the unity that binds men when they have to confront the dangers of the oceans. The arrival of the first steam boats at the beginning of the 20th century marks the beginning of industrial fishing, and momentous changes to the industry. Violence and greed begin to eclipse all sense of justice and equilibrium. An astonishing and moving tale about adventure, friendship and loyalty, but also the brutality of the white man’s exploits in Patagonia.
This is the black and white compilation of the first cycle (5 volumes), with panels reworked by Matthieu Bonhomme especially for this edition.
